Choosing a Company

Choosing a Company

  • Do not be overwhelmed by the sheer number of traveling agencies out there. They all have one thing in common – they want you.
  • Always figure out how large each traveling company is – how many recruiters they employ and how many travelers each recruiter manages.
  • When talking to a company, ask for a couple of contacts of current travelers for their company so you can ask questions before jumping in blindly.
  • Make sure to thoroughly interview a company before signing a contract with them. Check out our Questions to Ask Travel Company page.
  • Determine what company lines up with your goals/personality- do you want a smaller company with better direct access to your recruiter, or do you want a larger company that has the power of extensive contracts all around the country?
  • This is the company we work for and we highly recommend:
    • Prime HealthCare Staffing
      • Recruiter: Elisabeth Lindsay (elindsay@primehcs.com313-909-9848
      • “Elisabeth joined Prime HealthCare Staffing in 2007. She brings with her over 20 years of recruiting experience in the areas of healthcare, chemical and accounting. If you have had the privilege of working with Elisabeth, then you have experienced her enthusiasm for recruiting and working with traveling therapists across the country. Elisabeth will quickly become your ‘Go To’ recruiter to get you started on your ideal assignment and she is available 24/7. She is one of the most honest and dedicated recruiters I have worked with. When not hard at work for you, she can be found working with Leader Dogs for the Blind, Rug Hooking, Felting, supporting our active military (DAR) or on the tennis courts.”
      • Please mention Megan and Adam sent you if you decide to go with Prime!
  • This is another company we have interacted with and trust:
    • Maxim Healthcare Services
      • Recruiter: Rachel Davidoff (radavido@maxhealth.com) 813-261-4356
      • www.facebook.com/racheltraveltherapy
      • “I’ve been a travel therapy recruiter for 10+ years. I take pride in being upfront, honest and realistic about the ins and outs of being a travel therapist. I love helping travelers live out their adventures and dreams. It’s an amazing feeling to know that not only do I help with the direction of one’s travel career and life, but also indirectly help patients and their families by staffing quality therapists where there is a high need. I love what I do and I love helping others. I’m grateful, passionate, and excited to talk to those new to the industry and seasoned travelers alike.”
