Handy Tools

We like this lighter because it is electric and can last a long time between charges. It’s also flameless (doesn’t go out when there is a wind!), has no smell, and the neck bends so it can be used at any angle.

These come in very handy while exploring, camping, hiking, etc. They are a great tool to have for safety and general utility. The only thing to be mindful of when traveling far is that you need to check these at the airport as opposed to carrying them on.

These will make your life so much easier when trying to start a fire! First, create your teepee out of logs and kindling if you have it. Then place one of these fire starter bricks under the center of your teepee. Light paper or a paper towel on fire and place on the brick. The brick will create a large flame for 15-20 minutes and catch your logs on fire. We’ve never had a problem starting a fire when using these!

This is a great way to boil water while camping. It’s super speedy (boils water in about 3 min) and easy to use. You can boil 2 cups at a time which is plenty for coffee or hot cocoa.

If you want to make pasta or do some other cooking in you JetBoil, you should try this pot. You can boil a liter of water in here within 5 min.

This is a little attachment you need to get if you plan on using the pot for cooking on your JetBoil.
